Barcelona announce the contract extension of the 18-year-old teenage sensation who has agreed to sign a new long-term deal that would see him wear the Blaugrana shirt for another 5 years.
The Canary Islands player also became a favourite of Spanish National Team coach Luiz Enrique who was full of praise following a scintillating display by the 18-year-old at the Euros.
With a total of 74 matches played for club and country in one season, Pedri became the player to register the most appearances in any European League.
Securing his signature was crucial for Barcelona and a one billion release clause included in the contract shows how much they value the potential of the young talent.
