According to the Spanish Ministry of Health, open venues will be allowed to operate with a maximum capacity of 100% from 1 October onwards. The statement emphasises that wearing a mask will be mandatory and that people with symptoms compatible with COVID-19 or those in isolation or quarantine will not be attending the event.

This comes as good news for fans of La Liga as matches in the weekend, including the high-profile clash between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, can kick-off in front of 100% capacity. 

The statement also concludes that the new measures will remain for at least the whole of October and that the situation will be reviewed again in the last week of the month.
