The summer transfer window is anticipated to be a busy one for Arsenal. Shipping out several first-team players has left the Gunners with a young and thin squad.

Mikel Arteta, who has recently signed a 3-year-contract, will be looking to add more quality to his squad in the summer. The 40-year-old is interested in bringing a couple of players from his former employer Manchester City.

Reports have already suggested links between Arsenal and Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus from Man City. 

The North London club are desperately in need of a striker as they might lose three strikers this season in Aubameyang, Lacazette and Nketiah, and the Brazil international is deemed to be a good fit.

According to a recent report from Telegraph, Arsenal are exploring a move to sign Raheem Sterling from City in a pursuit to bolster their attacking options.

The 27-year-old will be entering the final year of his contract come summer, and his future will be decided only at the end of this season. 

Sterling shares a history with Arteta, having worked together for three years in Man City, which could play a crucial role in convincing Sterling to come to the Emirates.
