Koeman has agreed to stay with the national team till 2026, meaning he will be in-charge for the Euro 2024 to be held in Germany.
“I am looking forward to the new collaboration. A little over a year and a half ago, I certainly did not leave the Dutch national team out of dissatisfaction. My stay felt good, the results were good and the click with the internationals was good. We will soon continue on that path. That is certain for me.” said the Dutchman.
The 59-year-old has 78 caps for Holland, and was part of a star-studded era alongside the likes of Van Basten, Gullit and Frank Rijkaard.
Netherlands are drawn in Group A for the World Cup, alongside Qatar, Ecuador and Senegal.
