The 26-year-old has 8 goals in 14 starts in La Liga so far - his best return in a Real Madrid shirt. Although not a regular starter, the Spaniard’s preference is to remain in Madrid and will be listening to the club’s proposal before making a decision.
Furthermore, it is believed the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappe in the summer could facilitate the departure of Asensio due to Vinicius moving to the right side of the attack.
Tottenham and AC Milan have already registered their interest in the attacker and could be Asensio’s likeliest of destinations if he is on the move. Serie A leaders Milan will consider themselves the front-runners for the player’s signature at the moment due have the lure of Champions League football, but Tottenham’s possible qualification could make matters more interesting.
