Man City have confirmed a COVID-19 outbreak in their camp ahead of tomorrow’s FA Cup match against Swindon Town.
Manager Pep Guardiola and assistant Juanma Lillo are among those whose tests returned positive and the pair will be missing the tie against Swindon Town as assistant coach Rodolfo Borrell takes charge of the team.
“It’s possibly been one of the easiest lineups we have to decide - we will play the players we have available, we don't have much more.” Rodolfo Borrell later confirmed in his pre-match press conference.
“We want to play as much as we can, we respect all competitions. We can fill the team.” he added.
City have a total of 21 people from first-team isolating, including 7 players and 14 backroom staff.
Recently, Liverpool’s clash against Arsenal was postponed after the Merseyside club suffered a COVID-19 outbreak and had to temporarily halt first-team operations in their Kirby training ground.
