Chelsea on Thursday announced the transfer of Belgian Romelu Lukaku on a five-year deal, costing them a reported £97.5m and bringing back home a player who left them for Everton in 2014.

“One of the most prolific strikers in European football, Lukaku has returned to the club he supported as a young boy and where he has unfinished business, having been on our books between 2011 and 2014.” read the club’s official website.

The 28 yr old is coming off the back of a successful year after having helped Inter Milan lift the Serie A for the first time in 11 years.

Lukaku has gone on to score 160 goals in his club career since leaving Chelsea for West Brom on loan in 2012 and would be looking to add to his tally by leading the line for the London club.
