Everton confirmed the appointment of new manager Frank Lampard earlier in the day and it looks like fans of the Merseyside club are in line for more deadline day announcements.
The club are looking to bring in Tottenham’s Dele Alli and Manchester United’s Donny Van De Beek, according to the reliable @ElBobble on Twitter.
Everton’s loan move for Anwar El Ghazi earlier in the window means they can sign only one of Alli or Van De Beek on loan, while the other will have to be a permanent signing.
Dele Alli’s potential move would give the Englishman a chance to revive his career, after finding himself out of favour under manager Antonio Conte, at Spurs. The 25-year-old started only 7 games in the previous season and has so far had 8 starts in the 2021-22 season, scoring once.
Van De Beek’s moved to Manchester United following a successful time at Ajax, but has since had a frustrating time at Manchester. The Dutchman has fallen further down the pecking order after the arrival of summer signings Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The midfielder could potentially play a starring role under Lampard and turn his form around at Merseyside.
