Tottenham have established contact with Jesse Lingard’s camp after identifying the Englishman as a potential transfer, as per the report on football.london.
Lingard’s career at his boyhood club Manchester United has been inconsistent, with the 29-year-old having had to move on loan to West Ham to rediscover his form.
After scoring 9 goals in the second half of the season under David Moyes, the London side were keen to have him back for another season but then-manager Solskjaer decided to keep hold of his player.
The 29-year-old will be a free agent at the end of the season, and new boss Antonio Conte is planning on securing his services in the summer. The report goes on to state that Tottenham would even look at doing a deal this January, provided circumstances allow.
Ralf Rangnick has a plethora of attacking options at his disposal, with the club bringing in crowd favourite Ronaldo and winger Sancho from Dortmund. Marcus Rashford's return from injury means Lingard has found himself falling further down the pecking order.
Lingard has 2 goals in the league this season after featuring 8 times for United.
