Bayern Munich have submitted a bid worth a total of €25m for Ajax youngster Ryan Gravenberch, according to De Telegraaf.
The 19-year-old has been on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Manchester United, but it is Bayern who look to have made their move. The Netherlands international is excited by the prospect of playing for the German giants
The report claims that Bayern chiefs, during their visit to Amsterdam last week, made the offer to Ajax officials in a secret meeting that took place between the two parties. The offer is believed to be an initial €15m plus €10m in addons.
Gravenberch, who can play both as a defensive midfield and a number 8, is on a contract until 2023 and has no intention of signing an extension. Ajax want to cash in on the talent before he leaves on a free transfer, but are surprised by Bayern’s offer of €25m, which is €10m short of what the Dutch giants are asking for.
Gravenberch, the youngest player to debut for Ajax in the Eredivisie, has 7 goals in 68 appearances for the Ajax senior side.
