RB Leipzig on Tuesday sealed the transfer of the Guinean midfielder Ilaix Moriba with the youngster set to sign a five-year contract that would see him play for the Red Bulls until 2026.
The agreement is worth 16 million euros plus 6 million euros in variables. Furthermore, there is a 10% sell-on clause attached to the deal.
Moriba joined Barca in the year 2010. Last year, he broke into the first team at the age of 18, making his debut for the club under Ronald Koeman in a Copa del Rey match against Cornellà.
He went on to make 18 appearances for the first team last season, 4 in the league, 3 in the Copa del Rey and one in the Champions League scoring one and assisting two for the Catalans.
